Timonet has completely revamped its brand image, including logo design, app icon, and app design, to match the new service name. This renewal was carried out to strengthen brand identity through changes in the service name and brand image (BI), and to provide a more convenient service to users by improving the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) within the app.
‘Daem Daem’ is a transportation card charging payment app that offers a charging service allowing users to recharge their transportation cards via smartphone without needing to visit offline charging stations, and a payment service that enables transportation card payments at over 200 online merchants including Nexon and Afreeca TV. It is recognized for its excellent technology, being the only domestic provider of plastic transportation card online payment services and the first in Korea to offer iPhone app transportation card charging using iOS NFC functionality. It has won the Smart App Award’s Grand Prize for two consecutive years.
The biggest feature of the Daem Daem app renewal is ‘enhanced user convenience.’ To improve the usability of core functions, the main tab was reorganized into four sections: Charging, Shopping, Usage History, and More, allowing users to access desired services with minimal taps. Additionally, the app’s representative service, transportation card charging, was redesigned so that card inquiry, charging method selection, and charging amount setting can all be done on a single page, shortening the charging process.
Along with this, a new feature was added to promote the use of the Transportation Pay service, allowing users to recharge Transportation Pay points using partner card company points. Transportation Pay is a service where users can charge Transportation Pay points to their transportation cards or use them like cash at online merchants. Users can recharge Transportation Pay points with card company points and use them for transportation card charging and purchasing products in the shopping mall.
Director Seong Jeongsang said, “This renewal reflects users’ needs as much as possible by changing the service name to one that is easier to remember and pronounce, and revamped the app to enhance user convenience. We hope that through the new Daem Daem, users will be able to use transportation cards more easily and diversely, leading to a more convenient life.”
The renewed Daem Daem app can be conveniently used by anyone by updating to the latest app version or downloading it for free from the Google Play Store or App Store. Currently, ‘Daem Daem’ is holding an event to commemorate the renewal, offering Transportation Pay points when charging transportation cards.
