Dongyang Construction Industry to Supply Two 'Paragon' Apartment Complexes in Cheongju in June

Two apartment complexes of ‘Paragon,’ well-known as a luxury brand in Gangnam, will be supplied in June in Cheongju, Chungbuk, which has recently attracted attention with its hot subscription fever.


Dongyang Construction Industry will supply 2,415 units of ‘Osong Station Paragon Central City’ in the Osong Biopolis district, right near Osong Station, in June. This is the first Paragon apartment in the area.


‘Cheongju Osong Station Paragon Central City,’ built on Block B2 of Osong Biopolis district, Osong-eup, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju-si, consists of 19 buildings ranging from 2 basement floors to 25 above-ground floors, with four types of a single exclusive area of 59㎡. Including this first phase supply, Dongyang Construction Industry plans to supply a total of about 6,000 units, which will form the largest single-brand town in the Osong Biopolis district once the move-in is completed.


The Osong area, where ‘Cheongju Osong Station Paragon Central City’ is located, is gaining significant attention as the development of the KTX Osong Station area, the gateway to Sejong City, is getting on track along with the establishment of life science and bio-industry infrastructure such as an advanced medical complex, cosmetics industrial complex, and a large-scale exhibition hall with convention functions. In particular, the upgrade of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, located in Osong, from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency to further strengthen the ‘K-quarantine’ system, which became an issue due to COVID-19, is also a positive factor.


At the end of June, 562 units of ‘Cheongju Dongnam Paragon’ will be sold in the Dongnam district of Cheongju. ‘Cheongju Dongnam Paragon,’ built on Block B5 of the Dongnam district, consists of 6 buildings ranging from 3 basement floors to 25 above-ground floors with 562 units, including 187 units of two types of 77㎡, which are the most preferred by actual users, and 375 units of 84㎡ type.


The Dongnam district, where ‘Cheongju Dongnam Paragon’ is located, is a new residential area with a total of 16 complexes and 14,152 units planned, making it the largest in the area and virtually the last land development district. It boasts excellent transportation networks and living zones.


The complex is a forest zone directly connected to neighborhood parks such as the neighborhood park and Wonbong Park in the Dongnam district, and it is a school zone apartment with kindergartens, elementary schools, and middle and high schools adjacent. In particular, the Dongnam district, where ‘Cheongju Dongnam Paragon’ is located, is the only land district close to all three ring roads, the most important transportation system in the Cheongju area.


The Dongnam district is also evaluated to have an optimal living location as it has a large number of general commercial facilities, neighborhood living facilities, and parks.


Both complexes are differentiated with Paragon’s unique specialized design and luxurious design. First, all units apply pillar-free wide living rooms to maximize openness and allow space configuration and utilization according to individual preferences and personalities.


In the multipurpose room, which can be used as an auxiliary kitchen along with the kitchen, shelf-type outdoor units are installed to maximize storage and space utilization. In addition, the common entrance is designed as a hotel-style lobby to be used as a community space for external guests and residents, adding a touch of luxury.


The real estate market in Cheongju has recently shown a clear upward trend in apartment prices as the unsold inventory has been absorbed and subscription fever has spread. ‘Cheongju Gagyeong I-Park Complex 4,’ which was supplied in December last year, recorded an average subscription competition rate of 89.5 to 1 in the first priority. This is also the highest competition rate ever recorded for apartment supply in the Cheongju area.


In particular, in early May, it was decided that a new synchrotron radiation accelerator, aimed at supporting not only basic science but also industrial research and development, will be built in Cheongju, and an economic ripple effect exceeding trillions of won is expected, further raising expectations for regional economic revitalization.


A sales official from Dongyang Construction Industry said, “The real estate market in the Cheongju area is hot despite the COVID-19 situation and the general election political climate,” adding, “With various positive factors, population inflow is increasing, and inquiries from not only actual users but also investors are continuing.”
