[Official] Song Jaerim and Jiyeon Deny Dating Rumors: "Misunderstood Due to Motorcycle Hobby, Just Close Senior-Junior Relationship"

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Actor Song Jae-rim and singer-actor Ji-yeon (real name Park Ji-yeon) have strongly denied dating rumors.

Song Jae-rim's agency, Grand Ance Entertainment, released a statement on the 19th saying, "We would like to share our position regarding the dating rumors about Song Jae-rim and Ji-yeon reported today," and added, "Song Jae-rim and Ji-yeon, who met through the drama 'Tell Me Your Song' which ended in September 2019, are close senior and junior colleagues who share a common hobby of biking."

They further explained, "The day they were seen together, the 17th, was a day when Song Jae-rim was practicing biking at a circuit in Taebaek. Ji-yeon, who has just started biking, accompanied him and was seen together," and said, "Since safe practice locations like circuits are located in provincial areas, this seems to have caused misunderstandings. We apologize for not contacting you promptly to clarify the facts."

Ji-yeon's agency, Partners Park, also told multiple media outlets, "The dating rumors between Song Jae-rim and Ji-yeon are groundless. It is true that the two went to a circuit in the provinces to practice biking," but added, "Song Jae-rim and Ji-yeon are usually close, and Ji-yeon accompanied him to the circuit to help him with biking. It is absolutely not a romantic relationship."

Earlier that day, a media outlet reported that Song Jae-rim and Ji-yeon were dating. According to the report, the two went for a drive to Chungju, Chungbuk on the 17th, and a local resident witnessed them refueling affectionately at a nearby gas station.

Meanwhile, the two acted together in the KBS 2TV drama 'Tell Me Your Song,' which ended last September.
