Post-COVID-19 SOS Comprehensive Countermeasure Report Meeting Held! Preparedness First!
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 19th that it held a comprehensive departmental strategy briefing to prepare for the 'Post COVID-19' era.
So far, Boseong-gun has maintained a clean area with no confirmed cases through proactive COVID-19 response, and has responded with a two-track strategy focusing on blocking local transmission and revitalizing the local economy.
Once again, through the comprehensive departmental strategy briefing, proactive steps are being taken to establish a roadmap for post-COVID-19 initiatives. The briefing discussed strengthening non-face-to-face health services and operating quarantine teams, and decided to publish a COVID-19 white paper to establish an infectious disease response manual and to continuously focus on infectious disease prevention and management.
Key measures for economic normalization include △shopping events to revive traditional markets and neighborhood businesses, △specialized training to enhance merchants' professional capabilities, △development of Boseong-led hope job projects, and △promotion of job projects for vulnerable groups, all aimed at economic revitalization and overcoming job market difficulties.
Additionally, △supporting manpower through rural labor assistance, △campaigns to promote seafood sales, and △establishing a smart promotion line through the Boseong Mall, as well as revitalizing rural fishing villages and building non-face-to-face systems using online platforms, were addressed as major tasks.
Since April, the county has formed an emergency task force to secure national funding in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era, and has shown its capability by swiftly preparing applications for new projects aligned with government policies.
County Governor Kim Cheol-woo stated, “Life after COVID-19 will unfold in a completely different direction than before,” adding, “As non-face-to-face lifestyles expand and perceptions of space change, interest in clean and pleasant rural fishing villages is expected to increase. Please prepare for the post-COVID-19 era with creative ideas in various fields such as improving residential conditions.”
Meanwhile, ‘Post COVID-19’ refers to the upcoming new era after overcoming COVID-19, characterized notably by the spread of an untact culture that avoids face-to-face contact between people.
