Hwasun-gun Recruiting 'Volunteer University Students' Until the 29th

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 19th that it is recruiting students on a first-come, first-served basis for the Volunteer University "Balrottwieo (VOLUNTEER) Academy" (hereinafter referred to as the Academy) to foster specialized volunteer workers and activate volunteer activities until the 29th.

This course offers two classes that can be usefully applied in volunteer sites: ▲Nail Art ▲Organizing and Storage, recruiting 20 people per class for a total of 40 people.

The Academy will open on the 2nd of next month and run for 15 weeks.

The participation fee is completely free, and anyone who is a resident of the county and can participate in volunteer work at least twice after completing the Academy can join. However, duplicate applications are not allowed.

If the attendance rate of last year's Volunteer University students was less than 80%, a penalty will be applied, and the application will be accepted as a "waiting list rank."

Applications for enrollment are only possible by visiting in person.

A county official said, "Although society is going through a difficult time due to COVID-19, volunteer work that shares hardships and adds joy is needed more than ever," and added, "We plan to operate the Volunteer University while practicing social distancing in daily life to prevent COVID-19."
