Dongjak-gu, Recruiting Trainees for Data Science Expert Training Course


[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is recruiting trainees for the Data Science Expert Training Course until July 10.


This training is part of a next-generation core talent development project aimed at increasing lifelong employment possibilities through vocational skill development suited to the 4th Industrial Revolution era, following the designation of Dongjak as a vocational education special zone.


The recruitment target is 25 young job seekers residing in Seoul, with more than half selected from local residents or university graduates (expected graduates).


The training will be conducted from July 16 to October 30 at the Global IT Talent Development Center (14th floor, 1820 Nambusunhwan-ro, Gwanak-gu), located near Seoul National University Station.


Industry IT professionals will participate as instructors to provide practical theory education focused on ▲JAVA, JSP, Python, and other computer programming languages ▲databases ▲big data analysis, conducted as a program-centered course linked with related companies.


The district offers trainees benefits such as ▲full coverage of training fees ▲employment linkage with partner companies ▲employment consulting and expert special lectures ▲issuance of certificates.

From May to December last year, the district promoted the next-generation core talent development project, operating four courses including ▲smart cultural content development ▲application software ▲ICT-based security engineers ▲vocational education special zone specialization, producing 93 future talents.


Jinhee Cho, Director of the Job Policy Division, said, “Through this training, we will nurture core talents who will lead the future and create innovative momentum for regional development. We will actively promote specialized vocational education and training for youth entrepreneurship and employment.”


The district plans to activate lifelong employment vocational education by promoting the ‘IoT Development Expert Training Course’ from July to December, aimed at developing intelligent technology that connects and communicates internet-based objects.
