Songpa-gu to Recruit 5 Teams for '2020 Songsongpapa Creator' by 22nd... Creating Tourism and Lifestyle YouTube Videos... "Diversifying District Promotion Using One-Person Media"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) is recruiting ‘Songsongpapa Creators’ who will creatively capture various scenes of the district in videos until the 22nd.
This reflects the recent trend of one-person media based on social media, aiming to enhance both the delivery power and popularity of district promotion through creators’ activities such as video planning, production, and editing.
Songpa-gu used the district’s character ‘Songsongpapa’ as the name for the creators. Songsongpapa is a new character symbolizing the initials ‘ㅅㅍ’ of Songpa, designed to express the district in a friendly manner and to get closer to the residents.
The ‘Songsongpapa Creators’ will be responsible for expressing Songpa’s attractions, tourism, and lifestyle information through videos. They will cover major festivals and policy sites to produce at least one video content per month.
Moving away from content focused solely on information delivery, the creators’ creativity and planning skills will be maximally reflected in the content and format to deliver district news in an easy and enjoyable way.
The videos will be used for district promotion, posted on Songpa-gu’s official YouTube channel ‘SongpaTV’. In particular, a creator bulletin board will be established to showcase various videos to subscribers.
Anyone who plans, shoots, edits video content and uses SNS can participate. There is no age limit, and participants can form teams of up to three people or join individually.
Applications can be made by downloading the application form from the Songpa-gu website (www.songpa.go.kr), filling it out, and submitting it along with a representative creative video or plan of the team (or individual) via email (dlh1004@songpa.go.kr).
Those selected as ‘Songsongpapa Creators’ can participate in various programs such as events and festivals organized by the district, and will receive a certain activity fee when producing videos.
Additionally, videos with the highest views on the SongpaTV YouTube channel will be awarded.
Mayor Park Seong-su of Songpa-gu said, “I hope this will be an opportunity to promote Songpa and communicate through the participation of talented creators,” adding, “We will continue to work hard to promote Songpa with trendy and creative content and to activate communication with residents.”
