[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Moon Hyung-wook (24), the original creator of the Telegram 'Nth Room' known as 'GodGod,' was handed over to the prosecution on the 18th.

The Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency sent Moon to the prosecution around 2 p.m. on the same day on nine charges including production and distribution of obscene materials under the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles Against Sexual Abuse. Moon, who had been detained at the Andong Police Station detention center in Gyeongbuk, revealed his face as he headed to the Andong branch of the Daegu District Prosecutors' Office.

Without wearing a mask or hat, he showed a composed demeanor. When asked by reporters if there were 50 victims, he replied, "Yes." He added, "So far, I have directly ordered three cases of sexual assault, and receiving 900,000 won in gift certificates is all."

When asked if he had anything to say to the victims, he responded, "I'm sorry." A citizen shouted at Moon, who revealed his face that day, saying, "Go to hell," and "You are a personality murderer."

Earlier, on the 13th, the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency held a personal information disclosure committee and decided to disclose Moon's personal information under Article 25 (Disclosure of Suspect's Face) of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes. The police had previously disclosed the identities of Jo Joo-bin (24), the operator of the 'Doctor's Room,' and his accomplices Kang Hoon (18), known as 'Buda,' and Lee Won-ho (19), known as 'Igya,' under the same law. Moon is the fourth suspect whose identity has been disclosed under the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.

Moon is accused of producing and distributing sexually exploitative videos targeting women, including minors, in Telegram chat rooms since around September 2018. He approached children and adolescents who posted photos exposing their bodies on social networking services (SNS) in so-called 'deviant groups,' stole their personal information, threatened them, and produced and distributed sexually exploitative videos.

Initially, the police investigated 10 victims of sexual exploitation but later confirmed 11 additional victims and included these in the charges. After his arrest, Moon stated that the number of victims exceeded 50.

Police investigations also revealed that Moon threatened the parents of three victims who tried to report to the police. The police are conducting a comprehensive investigation, confirming additional crimes committed around June 2016, as Moon testified that he had been committing similar crimes since 2015.

Last month, after identifying Moon's identity, the police obtained a confession based on digital evidence collected and analyzed so far. Moon was urgently arrested on the 9th of this month and detained on the 12th.
