The police's search and seizure took place 23 days after former Mayor Oh resigned. A summons for questioning of former Mayor Oh also appears imminent.

The political aides are known to have played a key role in managing the incident by meeting with the victim's side after former Mayor Oh's sexual harassment incident to discuss the timing of his resignation and the notarization of his resignation, making investigation unavoidable.
