[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Amid the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), as governments around the world control the movement of people and goods, Sarra Corporation, established less than a year ago, is promoting the efficacy of its products through word of mouth in the Japanese cosmetics market.
Kim Yang-il, CEO of Sarra Corporation, recently told Asia Economy, "We did not promote the cosmetics, but in Japan, they decided to import after directly trying the samples," adding, "Word of mouth is spreading among the Japanese general distributor agencies and skin care salon personnel who experienced the efficacy of the cosmetics."
Sarra Corporation, established last February, sells cosmetics that minimize ingredients that irritate the skin. They have developed four basic products containing FI (Far Infrared) far-infrared rays and skin care products containing prebiotics.
CEO Kim said, "We trust our technology and are pioneering overseas markets," introducing that "the main function of far-infrared cosmetics is anti-aging."
CEO Kim emphasized that far-infrared cosmetics help dilate capillaries to promote smooth blood circulation and also stimulate cell tissue generation.
Prebiotics are different ingredients from probiotics, which are well known to domestic consumers. For probiotics to be effective in the body, prebiotics that suppress harmful bacteria and help activate probiotics are necessary. Skin care products containing prebiotics serve as nutrients for probiotics that play a beneficial role in the skin.
Sarra Corporation’s factory is located in Hoengseong, Gangwon Province. Led by Dr. Kim Jong-heon, who has developed over 800 types of cosmetics while working at Peerless, Nadri, and Chamzone, the company is focusing on product development.
Sarra Corporation established its Japanese sales subsidiary INBI last February. CEO Kim said, "The Japanese cosmetics market is known to be demanding," and "It is not easy for a new company to export to Japan." He added, "We researched the Japanese market before establishing the company," emphasizing, "We confidently entered the market believing in the excellence of far-infrared and prebiotic cosmetics."
CEO Kim said, "Our goal is to supply good products at reasonable prices," and "We are developing innovative cosmetics that help with skin beauty."
