Seocho District Council Holds 297th Extraordinary Session to Deliberate COVID-19 Recovery Supplementary Budget and More

Scheduled Review of the 2020 2nd Supplementary Budget and Fund Operation Plan Amendments

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Seocho District Council (Chairperson An Jongsuk) is holding the 297th extraordinary session for seven days from the 14th to the 20th.

In her opening remarks, Chairperson An Jongsuk stated, "The review of the supplementary budget proposal in this extraordinary session must discuss efficient practical measures to overcome the crisis faced by the local economy. The council will conduct reviews and thorough deliberations based on reasonable standards within the scope prescribed by laws and ordinances. Moving forward, we will do our best to find practical methods that residents and small business owners can tangibly feel through close cooperation with the executive branch."

At the first plenary session, following the proposal explanation by the Director of the Planning and Finance Bureau on the 2nd supplementary budget for general and special accounts and the fund operation plan change, the council handled the Seocho-gu Ordinance on Support for the Independence of Protected Children, the partial amendment ordinance on Seocho-gu Fee Collection, the Seocho-gu Ordinance on Audit of Apartment Management, and the partial amendment ordinance on the Composition and Operation of the Seocho-gu Apartment Management Dispute Mediation Committee.

To review the supplementary budget proposal and others, the district council formed a Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, electing Councilor Choi Jong-bae as chairman and Councilor Park Mihyo as vice-chairperson.
