[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Trot singer Hyun-sook (62) said she "almost married" broadcaster Jo Young-gu.

On the 15th, trot singer Hyun-sook appeared as a guest on KBS 1TV's 'Morning Yard' segment .

In the broadcast, Hyun-sook caught attention by sharing a special story about her connection with Jo Young-gu.

Hyun-sook began, "Jo Young-gu is close with Kim Hye-yeon, and he said he wanted to marry a singer."

She then explained, "He said the only people Kim Hye-yeon thought of were Jung Soo-ra and me. Since I am younger than Jung Soo-ra, he recommended me."

Hyun-sook continued, "Jo Young-gu contacted me saying he wanted to marry me. When I said no, he said if I introduced someone within a year, he wouldn't bring up marriage again. I was really embarrassed."

Hyun-sook added, "So, in a fluster, I introduced Jo Young-gu's current wife, Shin Jae-eun," and "Now, the two are living well together."
