[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] On the 14th, Rep. Min Kyung-wook of the United Future Party, who raised suspicions of early voting manipulation in the April 15 general election, reiterated allegations of early election fraud, stating, "A large number of forged ballots copied from early voting ballots were found at the Guri City counting site." In response, Rep. Kim Se-yeon of the United Future Party criticized, saying, "I think he is seeing illusions."
Rep. Min said in a post on his Facebook that day, "Evidence that this election was manipulated is pouring out nationwide."
He shared a photo of the ballots, saying, "The left is genuine, the right is a copied forged ballot," and added, "Please gather in front of the Gwacheon Central Election Commission at 2 p.m. today."
In another post on the same day, Rep. Min directed criticism at Cho Hae-joo, a standing member of the Election Commission, saying, "You have greatly sinned by distorting public opinion, undermining democracy, and underestimating the people," and called him "the second Choi In-gyu." Former Minister of the Interior Choi In-gyu led the fraudulent March 15 election during the Rhee Syngman government and was executed by hanging in December 1961.
Rep. Kim Se-yeon of the United Future Party pointed out that Rep. Min, who raised suspicions of election fraud, "is seeing illusions."
Rep. Kim appeared on CBS Radio's 'Sisa Jaki Jung Kwan-yong imnida' the day before and said, "If we calculate the probability of this happening in reality, it would require almost everyone to be involved in a conspiracy," adding, "The big problem is believing that (the election fraud) actually happened in reality."
Meanwhile, former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon also criticized Rep. Min on the 11th, saying, "He is making a huge fuss but has not produced a single piece of evidence," and added, "If this is for laughs, please stop. According to the Democratic Party, they will really be in power for 20 years."
Rep. Ha Tae-kyung, the United Future Party winner in Haeundae Gap, also criticized on his Facebook on the 7th, saying, "The claim that the vote was manipulated greatly underestimates the Republic of Korea," and added, "The biggest problem with the early voting manipulation theory is the failure to distinguish between the regime and the state."
