[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Broadcaster Lee Dong-woo shared an anecdote about his longtime friend, broadcaster Kim Kyung-sik.
On the 13th, Kim Kyung-sik and Lee Dong-woo appeared as guests on SBS LoveFM's 'Heo Ji-woong Show' and talked about past lives.
That day, Lee Dong-woo and Kim Kyung-sik revealed that they were such close friends that they could be considered a married couple in a past life.
Lee Dong-woo said, "When you go to amusement parks, there are fortune-telling and saju readings for fun. The fortune said that we were a married couple in a past life," adding, "I really think so. Otherwise, we might have parted ways."
Kim Kyung-sik also said, "The tarot reader said that we had a strong bond like a married couple in a past life," adding, "Because our connection continues in this life, we can rely on each other and always help one another consistently."
That day, Lee Dong-woo mentioned that he was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa in 2004 and lost his eyesight. DJ Heo Ji-woong asked, "After being diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, Lee Dong-woo gradually lost his vision. How did you feel when you realized you couldn't see?" Kim Kyung-sik responded, "How do you think? Heo Ji-woong, you know because you've been sick too."
Lee Dong-woo recalled, "I sat down right there and cried my eyes out. I think I cried for two hours. Kim Kyung-sik cried with me then. I had never seen him cry before, so it was shocking. I even regretted telling him."
In response, Kim Kyung-sik said, "Everyone says I take care of Lee Dong-woo, but I actually rely on him more. On my phone, he's saved as 'Lee Dong-woo Mentor,'" adding humorously, "But now I hope Lee Dong-woo makes some money," which brought laughter.
Heo Ji-woong said, "I think it's amazing. When I was sick, I called a close friend and said, 'Why didn't you drink when I asked you to?' Then, when treatment started, I told my friend not to visit. I didn't want to show my sick side. But these two went through tough times together," expressing admiration.
