[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 13th, the Future Korea Party criticized the ruling party lawmakers for unanimously defending Yoon Mi-hyang, the elected member of the Democratic Citizens' Party, and the Justice and Memory Foundation (Jeonguiyeon), calling it the "final offensive of pro-Japanese and anti-human rights forces," and stated, "Surprisingly, the ruling party's defense came right after Yoon wrote a post comparing her situation to that of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk."

Cho Su-jin, spokesperson for the Korean Party, said in a statement that "They rushed out at the mere mention of Cho Kuk," adding, "As expected, he is the major shareholder of the ruling party."

Spokesperson Cho pointed out, "The allegations of mismanagement of public funds by Yoon, a member of the Democratic Party's first unit, and Jeonguiyeon surfaced after grandmother Lee Yong-soo, a comfort woman victim, exposed them," and questioned, "Is this grandmother a force aiming to erase the comfort women issue? Is she a victim of Japanese military sexual slavery or a pro-Japanese force trying to cover up Japan's past? Is revealing the mismanagement of public funds by a civic group an ideological issue divided between conservatives and progressives?"

Spokesperson Cho stated, "Ruling party figures who rose up like a swarm at the mere mention of Cho Kuk must first provide answers to this," and added, "'Their closed party' has repeatedly shouted about justice, fairness, democracy, and human rights, but the more one thinks about it, the more curious one becomes about their true nature."
