[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Le Maire, a French advanced contemporary brand under Samsung C&T Fashion Division, announced on the 13th that it has renewed and reopened its store located on the 3rd floor of Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong Main Branch in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Le Maire was first introduced at the concept store ‘10 Corso Como Seoul’ and has been gaining attention since 2015 with its standalone stores, offering modern and elegant collections infused with Parisian sensibility.
Currently, it operates five standalone stores at Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong Main Branch and Trade Center Branch, Galleria Department Store Apgujeong Branch, Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch and Centum City Branch, as well as at 10 Corso Como Seoul Cheongdam Branch and Avenue L.
The Le Maire standalone store at Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong Main Branch spans 48㎡ (approximately 14.5 pyeong) and reflects Le Maire’s philosophy of ‘making clothes for everyday life’ with a retail concept featuring soft colors and natural elegance.
The new retail concept was completed through a partnership with Hugo Haas, an architect from the globally renowned French architecture and design studio SIG.
Based on brown and off-white tones, the space harmoniously blends refined and luxurious natural materials such as wood and plaster, enhancing a warm and cozy atmosphere.
Le Maire’s signature Croissant Bag and new collections including the Folded Bag and Derby Shoes are also positioned at the center of the store.
Song Aeda, team leader of 10 Corso Como, said, “We are unveiling the world of Le Maire through a new retail concept store for the first time worldwide in Korea. Customers will be able to experience Le Maire’s unique brand identity and enjoy the highest level of shopping satisfaction in a space harmoniously blended with the sophisticated French-inspired collection.”
Le Maire, launched in 1992, is a Parisian sensibility brand led by duo designers Christophe Le Maire and Sarah-Lynn Tran. It offers refined collections characterized by restrained and subtle designs, a unique sensibility blending Eastern and Western cultures, excellent materials, and the use of delicate colors.
