Naver to Launch 'Paid Membership Service' on the 1st of Next Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Naver announced on the 11th that it will launch its paid membership service 'Naver Plus Membership' on the 1st of next month.

Naver Plus Membership is a service that provides Naver users who pay a certain fee with benefits such as earning Naver Pay points and access to digital content.

Members can earn up to 5% of their Naver Pay payment amount as points when using services such as Naver Shopping, Reservations, and Webtoon.

Naver Plus Membership members receive an additional 4% accumulation benefit on top of the 'basic purchase accumulation' for monthly payments up to 200,000 KRW, allowing them to earn up to 5% in Naver Pay points. Additionally, for payment amounts from 200,000 KRW to 2,000,000 KRW, they receive an extra 1% accumulation benefit beyond the basic purchase accumulation.

These benefits can be combined. If a membership member charges more than 50,000 KRW in Naver Pay points at their 'My Favorite Store' and purchases products, they can earn a maximum of 8.5% points accumulation, including the basic 2% additional accumulation and 1.5% accumulation given when charging Naver Pay points.

Members can also choose 4 benefits from options such as 10 early previews of webtoons, 300 listens to Vibe music tracks, 2 latest drama episodes, 100GB Naver Cloud usage voucher, and audiobook rental discount coupons.
