‘Tom N Toms’ Plans to Launch New Menu Using Gokseong Melon at All Stores

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 8th, a design report meeting for the Melon Complex Experience Center and a tasting event for new Gokseong melon menu items were held at the Gokseong County Office Communication Maru.

According to Gokseong County on the 11th, the county operates the Gokseong Melon Rural Convergence Industry Group (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Group’) with the goal of developing high-quality Gokseong melons into a representative brand of South Korea.

The Gokseong Melon Complex Experience Center, promoted by the Group, is the core of the Gokseong Melon Rural Convergence Industry Zone Development Project. The center will serve to experience Gokseong melons in various ways, such as making melon dishes, and to purchase related products.

At the report meeting, a spatial composition plan was presented to establish the center as a landmark representing Gokseong melons. The concept included arranging buffer green spaces, terraces, mini gardens, screening plantings, and stand stairs, enhancing usability through a duplex structure, and securing openness with a glass curtain wall at the front entrance.

Following this, at the Gokseong melon new menu tasting event, the famous franchise cafe Tom N Toms introduced four products: Gokseong melon smoothie, ade, juice, and latte. Among them, the Gokseong melon smoothie and Gokseong melon latte received the highest scores from attendees. Gokseong County and Tom N Toms plan to survey consumer responses and launch new menu items using Gokseong melons at all Tom N Toms stores in the future.

A representative of the Group expressed, “The complex experience center project is progressing smoothly, and a leap forward for Gokseong melons is expected soon. In particular, with the launch of Tom N Toms’ new Gokseong melon menu, urban residents will be able to enjoy our county’s melons more closely and deliciously.”
