[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jung Won-oh) announced that with the transition to "everyday social distancing," it has decided to reopen the district office building, including the previously closed libraries and Seongdong Chaekmaru, starting from the 11th, and has established a thorough quarantine system to alleviate residents' concerns.
In preparation for the rapid increase in visitors following the reopening of the office building, the district installed AI facial recognition temperature cameras at the building entrances on the 1st, and on the 8th, full-body disinfectant machines were installed and put into operation at the entrances of the district office and Seongdong-gu Public Health Center.
All visitors to Seongdong-gu Office must undergo disinfection using the automatic full-body spray disinfectant machine, then confirm a normal status notification via screen and voice from the AI facial recognition temperature camera for one second before entering the building.
For visitors with fever or abnormal temperature, the system records the time and abnormal temperature data in a database (DB), which can be immediately provided as materials for tracking movement paths later.
Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, "Even though we have shifted from social distancing to everyday social distancing, we will never be complacent and will do our best to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through thorough quarantine and disinfection."
