[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] Yoyomi revealed a close relationship with her father Park Si-won, who is active as a singer.
The KBS 2TV variety show 'Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend,' which aired on the 9th, was held as a 'Family Special.'
On this broadcast, Yoyomi shared her thoughts on appearing with her father Park Si-won, saying, "It was my wish to stand on a big stage with my dad. I feel incredibly happy," and added, "My father has been performing trot for over 30 years. I came out to fulfill my father's unfulfilled wishes."
Park Si-won, who appeared with Yoyomi, debuted in 1987 through KBS's 'New Singer Festival.' Since then, he has been active as a singer in Cheongju.
Regarding this, Yoyomi said, "(My father) is still active as a singer. He received offers from agencies in the past but declined them to protect the family."
Park Si-won reportedly opposed when his daughter Yoyomi said she wanted to become a singer. He explained, "I felt sorry that my daughter would follow the difficult profession I had pursued." He added, "However, she has a better voice than I expected, so I came to support her."
MC Jung Jae-hyung asked, "How does it feel to see your daughter succeed as a singer?" Park Si-won replied, "It feels like being rewarded for 34 years of anonymity," creating a warm atmosphere.
On this day, the father and daughter duo Yoyomi and Park Si-won chose Cho Yong-pil's 'I Like You' and performed together on stage.
