[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Actor Yoo Seung-ho revealed the current status of his adopted pet cats from the YouTube channel 'Gapsu Farm,' which has been embroiled in an animal abuse controversy, and shared his thoughts.


On the 8th, Yoo Seung-ho posted on his Instagram account, "Many people were worried, so after much consideration, I am posting this. Simba (pet cat) and Gaeul (pet cat) are doing well. Their names have been changed. Gomi is now Simba, and Dori is now Gaeul," along with photos of the cats. He added, "Both are eating well, using the litter box well, playing well, and living well. Gaeul even overcame peritonitis."


He also emphasized, "Animals need a lifetime of love, and even that is not enough. Please do not think of them as a means to make money."


Earlier, on the 7th, Channel A's 'News A' reported, "Veterinary student 'Gapsu Farm,' which has 500,000 subscribers, was reported to the police on charges of abusing abandoned animals for views." In response, 'Gapsu Farm' admitted to pet shop sales but denied any abuse.


It is known that Yoo Seung-ho adopted the cats Gomi (Simba) and Dori (Gaeul) featured on the channel last year.

Many people were worried, so after much consideration, I am posting this. Simba and Gaeul are doing well. Their names have been changed. Gomi - Simba, Dori - Gaeul. Both are eating well, using the litter box well, playing well, and living well. Gaeul even overcame peritonitis. Animals need a lifetime of love, and even that is not enough. Please do not think of them as a means to make money.
