Monthly Plans Around 10,000 KRW for Minor Children
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] KB Kookmin Bank's Liiv M announced on the 6th that it will launch the 'Liiv M Junior LTE Plan' targeting minors aged 4 to under 19 in celebration of Family Month in May.
The Liiv M Junior LTE Plan consists of two plans: the 'Junior 750MB+' plan with a basic fee of 17,500 KRW per month (including basic voice and text), and the 'Junior 2GB+' plan with a basic fee of 19,000 KRW per month (including 100 minutes of voice and 100 texts).
KB Kookmin Bank customers can receive discounts on the plan fees. If a minor child subscribes to the Housing Subscription Savings product or if the parent registers KB Kookmin Bank Open Banking, a monthly discount of 2,200 KRW is applied. Additionally, depending on the parent's KB Star Club grade, an extra benefit of up to 5,500 KRW per month can be received, allowing a maximum monthly saving of 7,700 KRW on communication fees. After applying all these discounts, the 'Junior 750MB+' plan is available for 9,800 KRW, and the 'Junior 2GB+' plan for 11,300 KRW per month.
Both plans provide a 'Data Safety Service' that allows unlimited use at a maximum speed of 400 Kbps, which supports social network service (SNS) messenger and web page browsing, once the basic data allowance is exhausted. Also, to ease parents' concerns about their minor children, services such as 'Network Blocking' and 'Child Phone Guardian' are available, which automatically block harmful sites and applications (apps) and allow setting app usage time.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "Liiv M has introduced a customized plan reflecting the needs of parents with minor children by analyzing customer demands," and added, "We will continue to provide various benefits through the combination of finance and telecommunications so that more customers can experience Liiv M."
