Among the surveyed companies, a total of 33 companies, including KB Financial Group and Hana Financial Group, had an average employee salary exceeding 100 million KRW.

According to a survey conducted on the employee salaries of 318 companies that submitted business reports among the top 500 domestic companies by the corporate evaluation site CEO Score on the 3rd, their average annual salary was 79.2 million KRW per person.
By industry, the sectors with salaries over 100 million KRW were △Financial Holding Companies (117.8 million KRW) △Securities (104.3 million KRW) △Credit Finance (92.8 million KRW) △Banking (92 million KRW) △IT and Electronics (90.5 million KRW), in that order. Accordingly, the financial sector occupied the top four ranks among the top five average salary industries.
On the other hand, the industries with the lowest salaries were identified as △Distribution (41.6 million KRW) △Food and Beverage (54.8 million KRW) △Household Goods (59.8 million KRW).
A total of 33 companies had an average employee salary exceeding 100 million KRW. Among them, the top six were financial companies. The rankings were △KB Financial Group (133.4 million KRW, 1st) △Hana Financial Group (122.8 million KRW, 4th) △NH Investment & Securities (120.5 million KRW, 6th) △Korean Reinsurance (119.2 million KRW, 7th) △Orange Life Insurance (115.6 million KRW, 8th) △KB Securities (115.5 million KRW, 9th).
Additionally, SK affiliates occupied the remaining four spots. △SK Energy (128.2 million KRW, 2nd) △SK Incheon Petrochem (127.5 million KRW, 3rd) △SK Comprehensive Chemical (122.7 million KRW, 5th) △SK Hynix (113.8 million KRW, 10th).
Meanwhile, companies that ranked from 1st to 5th in salary in 2018, including △SK Energy △SK Comprehensive Chemical △SK Incheon Petrochem △S-Oil △GS Caltex, all saw their rankings decline last year. This indicates a noticeable decrease in salaries within the petrochemical industry.
