Mohitok Emoticons Usable on Facebook, WhatsApp, and More
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Flatfarm, a provider of B2B emoticon services, is supplying emoticon content to Google.
On the 27th, Flatfarm announced that it recently signed a content supply contract with Google and will deploy its emoticon solution 'Mojitok' on Google's platform. The service will be available worldwide starting in the second half of this year through Google's GIF image engine Tenor.
Since 2017, Google has been supplying image content through Tenor to global users, which can be sent via its own services as well as applications such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Twitter. Tenor's global monthly active users reach 350 million.
Lee Hyoseop, CEO of Flatfarm, stated, "Through this partnership contract, we confirmed that emoticons are becoming a central element in the global content market, and we expect them to expand into digital communication overall and further into advertising marketing solutions based on lifestyle."
Mojitok, the service provided by Flatfarm, uses artificial intelligence to analyze messages and automatically recommend emoticons that fit the context. Flatfarm operates a real-time emoticon streaming service based on global usage data analysis.
Currently, Mojitok is used by over 100 million users in more than 50 countries worldwide through default installation on Galaxy smartphones, Vietnam's number one messenger 'Zalo', and 'ChatAja' under Indonesia's state-owned telecommunications company Telkom Indonesia.
