Kim Jong-un Staying in Wonsan, Expresses Gratitude to Wonsan Workers The Blue House stated on the 21st that some media reports about North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un's "health abnormalities" are unfounded, saying, "No unusual developments have been identified within North Korea so far." Earlier, the US CNN network reported on the 20th (local time), citing US officials, that the US government is monitoring information that "Chairman Kim is in serious danger after surgery."
The photo shows Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un, as reported by the Korean Central News Agency on the 12th. It was reported that on the 11th, Kim Jong-un presided over a Workers' Party Political Bureau meeting to discuss measures to respond to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, who is reported to be staying in Wonsan, Gangwon Province, expressed his gratitude to the workers involved in the construction of the Wonsan-Galma Coastal Tourist Zone, North Korean media reported on the 27th.

The Workers' Party newspaper Rodong Sinmun stated that "Comrade Kim Jong-un sent thanks to the officials and workers who actively supported the construction of the Wonsan-Galma Coastal Tourist Zone." The domestic radio outlet Korean Central Broadcasting also reported the same content.

Amid rumors about his health, Kim has not appeared in public for fifteen days. North Korean media continue to provide only limited coverage without releasing photos or videos of Kim Jong-un.

However, it is noteworthy that the Wonsan-Galma Tourist Zone is located not far from Kim Jong-un's Wonsan villa. Recently, there have been repeated claims that Kim is staying in Wonsan.

The U.S.-based North Korea specialist media 38 North reported that a train presumed to be Kim Jong-un's private train has been stationed at the Wonsan train station since the 21st.

Moon Chung-in, Special Advisor to the President for Unification, Diplomacy, and National Security, said in an interview with Fox News on the 26th that Kim Jong-un has been staying in Wonsan since the 13th and is healthy.

Kim Byung-gi, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, claimed on his Facebook, "The possibility of (Kim Jong-un's) health issues is less than 0.0001%. Kim Jong-un will soon appear suddenly."

The U.S.-based North Korea specialist media 38 North reported on the 25th (local time) that based on commercial satellite images, the train presumed to be exclusively used by Chairman Kim was not seen in the satellite image of the Wonsan resort train station taken on the 15th, but was observed in the photos taken on the 21st and 23rd.

Meanwhile, the Wonsan-Galma Coastal Tourist Zone is a large-scale project to build hotels, entertainment facilities, and water parks around Wonsan City, considered a key tourism project of Kim Jong-un.

After being postponed twice, it was scheduled to be completed on the birthday of President Kim Il-sung on the 15th, but since there has been no news of a completion ceremony or related events, it appears that the schedule has also been delayed.
