[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] The Blue House announced on the afternoon of the 23rd that "a meeting of the NSC Standing Committee was held under the chairmanship of National Security Office Director Jeong Eui-yong," adding, "The standing committee members reviewed recent North Korean developments and confirmed that there are currently no unusual activities within North Korea."
The Blue House explained, "The standing committee members agreed to actively participate in international solidarity and cooperation for COVID-19 response, striving to ensure the continued exchange of personnel and goods for humanitarian aid and economic recovery."
The Blue House added, "The standing committee members also reviewed the plan for the return of U.S. military bases in South Korea according to the YRP (Yongsan Relocation Plan) and LPP (Land Partnership Plan), and decided to actively promote the base return procedures for this year, including part of the Yongsan base, in cooperation with the U.S. side."
