Use in Connection with 4 Tourist Hotels at Up to 50% Discount
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) is operating ‘Safe Lodging’ in connection with four local tourist hotels to ensure that families of overseas arrivals can stay safe from COVID-19.
‘Safe Lodging’ refers to accommodation facilities where families in Korea can stay safely in separate lodging while overseas arrivals self-quarantine at home. This is because families of overseas arrivals are easily exposed to COVID-19 infection.
The district operates Safe Lodging in connection with local tourist hotels, offering up to a 50% discount to support residents who find it difficult to stay in separate accommodations due to high costs.
Gangdong-gu’s Safe Lodging includes ‘Bago Tourist Hotel’ and ‘Hotel Gam’ located in Cheonho-dong, ‘Seongnae-dong Bali Tourist Hotel,’ and ‘Gildong Harmony Tourist Hotel.’ All four tourist hotels are registered on the Seoul City Clean Zone website (http://www.seoul.go.kr/coronaV/cleanzone.do#list/1) and conduct intensive voluntary disinfection, allowing safe use.
Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, said, “We plan to continue operating Safe Lodging until the COVID-19 situation is resolved to ensure no inconvenience for families of overseas returnees using the Safe Lodging.”
Since March 31, Gangdong-gu has been operating temporary transportation for quarantine movement of overseas arrivals, making every effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection.
Overseas arrivals who have undergone COVID-19 testing at Gangdong-gu Public Health Center and do not have a private car are supported with emergency transportation to their residence using Gangdong-gu Office transport vehicles.
