[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jong-gil] Actors Lee Sun-kyun and Ju Ji-hoon are teaming up in the movie "Silence." Multiple entertainment insiders told Asia Economy Newspaper on the 17th, "The two actors recently joined 'Silence' as leads."
"Silence" is the new work of director Kim Tae-gon, who directed "Poison" (2008), "1999, Meeting" (2012), and "Goodbye Single." Director Kim wrote the screenplay, and director Kim Yong-hwa, known for the "Along with the Gods" series, adapted it. It is produced by Dexter Studio and invested and distributed by CJ Entertainment. Filming is planned to start in the second half of this year.
The genre is disaster thriller. It depicts people trapped on Incheon Bridge fighting against a life form created by the "Silence Project." It showcases human dehumanization and the dysfunction of scientific technology with spectacular action scenes.
Lee Sun-kyun is set to play Cha Jung-won, an administrative officer at the Blue House Security Office. His character manages an uncontrollable escalating incident after having an accident while seeing off his daughter who is going to study abroad in Australia. Ju Ji-hoon is reported to play Jo Park, who rushes to the accident scene with his pet dog Jody. Although seemingly selfish, his character brings energy to the story with progressive thinking and proactive actions.
