Gwangju Bank Songjeong Branch to Relocate to New Building on the 20th

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 17th that it will relocate the Songjeong Branch, which was previously located on the 2nd floor, to the 1st floor of a newly constructed building across from Gwangju Songjeong Station on the 20th.

The Songjeong Branch is moving to a location with active foot traffic and convenient public transportation, including subway, bus stops, and taxi stands, which is expected to improve accessibility and convenience, greatly enhancing customer satisfaction.

Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, said, “Since last year, we have been gradually relocating branches on the 2nd floor or higher in the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas to the 1st floor to not only facilitate convenient financial services for our customers but also to alleviate inconveniences for financially vulnerable groups. We will continue to repay the love we have received from local residents by providing high-quality financial services and practicing customer-centered and community-based management, aiming to become the most loved and trusted representative bank in Gwangju and Jeonnam.”

Meanwhile, Gwangju Bank will not hold a relocation ceremony in order to actively participate in the high-intensity social distancing measures due to the spread of COVID-19.

Since last year, Gwangju Bank has opened six new branches in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions and relocated six branches (including the Songjeong Branch) with relatively inconvenient customer access to improve accessibility and convenience, aiming to provide convenient financial services to local residents and to expand and advance its business capabilities in the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas.

Currently, Gwangju Bank operates 145 branches, with 117 in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions and 28 branches in the metropolitan area.
