[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Kang Hoon (18), identified as an accomplice in the Telegram Doctor's Room case, where women were threatened and sexually exploited through the production and distribution of sexual exploitation materials, apologized sincerely to the victims on the 17th.

Kang, known by the chat name 'Butta,' bowed his head and said, "I am truly sorry," in response to reporters' questions at the Jongno Police Station in Seoul on the morning of the same day, when asked if he had anything to say to the victims.

The day before, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's personal information disclosure review committee decided to publicly disclose the identity of a minor for the first time, and his face was revealed during the prosecution transfer process on this day.

Kang is suspected of recruiting participants for the sexual exploitation group chat rooms in the Doctor's Room and managing criminal proceeds such as entrance fees. In particular, it is reported that he acted as a 'fund manager,' converting cryptocurrency deposits from paid members of the Doctor's Room into cash and delivering them to Jo.

However, he did not respond regarding whether he was an accomplice to the main perpetrator Jo Joo-bin or about the charges against him.
