[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Miryang City in Gyeongnam Province held a pork sharing event on the 16th together with the Miryang branch of the Korea Pork Producers Association to support underprivileged groups and welfare facilities.
This event was promoted using self-support funds raised by pork farmers to deliver love to neighbors and marginalized groups struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). A total of 1,830 kg of pork worth 14 million KRW was donated to 45 social welfare facilities, including the Craypas welfare facility.
Jang Se-hwan, head of the Miryang branch of the Korea Pork Producers Association, said, "The meat shared today is produced with the sincerity and effort of farmers and has a taste and safety that distinguish it from imported meat. We want to share warm affection with the underprivileged and welfare facilities in our city to overcome COVID-19."
The Miryang branch of the Korea Pork Producers Association has been consistently practicing neighborly love by sharing pork and other products with those in need every year, including during holidays.
