Independent candidate Kim Seong-hwan and Minsheng Party candidate Park Joo-sun followed behind.

Lee Byung-hoon, the elected candidate, stated, "After my third attempt, I was elected to the 21st National Assembly with the support and encouragement of the citizens," and added, "I deeply thank you and send my love and respect."

He continued, "Now, moving forward to the National Assembly, I will do my best together with the government so that ordinary people who have fallen into hardship due to COVID-19 can resume their normal livelihoods as soon as possible," and emphasized, "To promptly resolve the difficulties faced by the Gwangju-type job project, I will meet with labor groups, companies, and Gwangju City, the promoting entities, to join forces and strive to normalize the project."

He also said, "On the other side of our society, there still exist forces that ignore the pain of Paengmok Port without any reflection," and added, "This is why we cannot let go of the thread of reform. I promise to be a true politician who does not lose the original intention."
