[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] T'way Air has expanded its commercial routes by launching a new Gimpo to Busan route.
On the 13th, T'way Air announced that starting May 1, it will operate four daily flights on a non-scheduled basis from Gimpo Airport to Busan. The total number of flights will be 248, providing a total of 46,872 seats.
T'way Air, which currently operates Jeju routes departing from Gimpo, Daegu, and Gwangju, is launching the Gimpo-Busan route for the first time. Although Gimpo-Busan is a route with high commercial demand, the number of flights drastically decreased after the COVID-19 pandemic.
To commemorate this new route launch, from 2 PM on the same day until the 29th, for 17 days, special fares starting from 14,900 KRW for one-way total fare (including fuel and airport taxes) will be available.
The boarding period for these special fares is for flights from May 1 to 31, excluding peak seasons and certain dates.
T'way Air will also launch a new Cheongju-Jeju route starting on the 25th. A T'way Air official stated, "By launching the new Gimpo-Busan route with high commercial demand, we will expand travel options that had decreased after COVID-19. We aim to become a T'way Air that gets closer to customers through expanding various domestic routes."
