[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Eunbyeol] The Bank of Korea announced on the 13th that it will issue a 'Korean Coin' set to commemorate its 70th anniversary this year. This is the first time since the Bank's establishment that coins are being sold to the general public, consisting of a total of six types, each a high-quality current coin.

A total of 70,000 sets will be issued, and reservations for purchase of up to 5 sets per person will be accepted through banks designated by the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation (Woori Bank and NongHyup Bank) or through the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation's online shopping mall. If the number of reservations exceeds the total issuance, winners will be determined by lottery.
