A Man in His 20s Who Confessed to Possessing n번방 Sexual Exploitation Material Dies by Suicide Again

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] A man in his 20s who turned himself in to the police for possessing sexual exploitation materials related to the Nth Room case has died about 10 days later after making another extreme choice.

According to the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency on the 11th, A (28) was found dead by his family at an apartment in Incheon City around 8 p.m. the previous day.

According to the police, a suicide note presumed to have been written by A was found next to his body.

Earlier, on the 24th of last month, A went to the Yeosu Police Station in Jeollanam-do and confessed to possessing sexual exploitation materials related to the Nth Room case. In fact, about 340 photos, including child sexual exploitation materials, were found on his mobile phone. At that time, A showed cyanosis symptoms during the investigation process and informed that he had ingested poison before coming to the police station.

The police did not find any signs of homicide on A's body and plan to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of death.

A police official stated, "We believe A made an extreme choice," but added, "We cannot disclose the contents of the suicide note."
