[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Juhyung] Song Seunghyun, formerly of the group FT Island, announced his enlistment through social networking services (SNS).
On the 9th, Song Seunghyun wrote on his Instagram, "Everyone, I will be enlisting on April 27," adding, "Due to COVID-19 issues, I am unable to greet you in person nearby, which is very disappointing."
He continued, "Everyone, please be careful of COVID, and health is absolutely the most important," and added, "I will soon fulfill my duty."
Additionally, for his Japanese fans, Song Seunghyun said in Japanese, "I wanted to visit Osaka and Tokyo this time, but I am glad to be able to greet you like this," and wished, "Stay healthy until we meet again."
Meanwhile, Song Seunghyun debuted as a member of FT Island in 2009. He gained public recognition through various domestic and international activities with the group, and after withdrawing from FT Island last December, he transitioned to acting.
