Gokseong-gun Accepting Applications for Jeonnam-style COVID-19 Emergency Living Expenses Until Next Month 29

Up to 500,000 Won Gokseong Simcheong Gift Certificate Provided

Gokseong-gun Accepting Applications for Jeonnam-style COVID-19 Emergency Living Expenses Until Next Month 29

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that it will accept applications for the Jeonnam-type COVID-19 Emergency Living Expense Support until May 29.

The eligible recipients are households with an income at or below 100% of the median income as of March 29, residing in Gokseong-gun. The payment amounts are based on the number of household members: ▲ 300,000 KRW for 1-2 person households ▲ 400,000 KRW for 3-4 person households ▲ 500,000 KRW for households with 5 or more members, and will be provided in Gokseong Simcheong gift certificates.

However, if any household member has received temporary living support, emergency welfare, COVID-19 hospitalization or quarantine living support, unemployment benefits, or similar aid, they are not eligible for this support.

The median income is verified through the health insurance premium payment amount. If all household members are regional subscribers, only the health insurance premium paid by the individual is applied. For mixed subscribers (regional + workplace), the median income is calculated by adding property value to the health insurance premium.

The Jeonnam-type emergency living expense can be received in addition to the government’s emergency disaster relief fund, so applicants should be careful not to miss the application period.

Applications can be submitted by visiting the local town or township office with an ID card or through the Gokseong-gun website until May 29. In particular, Gokseong-gun plans to designate application days by village within towns and townships to facilitate social distancing during the application process.

A county official stated, “We will actively guide everyone to apply without exclusion and pay close attention to help residents endure these difficult times well.”
