[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the Seoul area has increased by 7 again, bringing the total cumulative number of confirmed cases to 597.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that from midnight on the 9th to 10 a.m. on the 10th, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul increased by 7. Among them, 4 were confirmed positive after entering from the United States, presumed to be cases infected overseas.

The list includes a woman in her 30s who was a roommate of a female employee at an entertainment establishment in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, and two men whose sources of infection are still under investigation.

Among the 597 confirmed cases in the Seoul area so far, 410 patients are currently in isolation, and 185 patients have been discharged.

The number of deaths in Seoul is counted as 2. This does not include a patient from Gyeongbuk Province who died while being transferred to Seoul for treatment.
