[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] Actress Park Hyun-jung confessed that she went through difficult times during her marriage and after her divorce.

On the 8th, Park Hyun-jung, a single mom for 10 years, appeared on MBN's "Can We Love Again Season 2."

On this day, it was revealed that Park Hyun-jung quit her entertainment activities and even experienced financial difficulties after her divorce, drawing sympathy from those around her.

Park Hyun-jung said, "This year marks my 10th year as a single mom," and added, "I wanted to break out of my shell like Kim Kyung-ran," explaining her reason for appearing on the show.

She continued, "My daughters supported my dating. They encouraged me, saying, 'If I ever have a boyfriend, would you dislike it, Mom?' Thanks to their support, I was able to participate in this program," shedding tears.

She revealed, "I share a room with my daughter," and said, "I didn't want to have separate rooms, so I tore down the wall." Currently, Park Hyun-jung's eldest daughter is studying abroad in Japan, and her second daughter is a high school student.

Park Hyun-jung then spoke about her divorce. She confessed, "I got married after five years of acting, had two daughters, and maintained my marriage for 13 years. After deciding to divorce and becoming alone, I suffered from depression and panic disorder."

In particular, she expressed affection for her former mother-in-law, saying, "My mother-in-law used to prepare seasonal foods according to the season, and I miss that a lot."

She added, "Shortly after the divorce, my father-in-law passed away, and I saw my mother-in-law at the funeral. At that time, she apologized to me and cried a lot," and also said, "Even now, my children visit my mother-in-law every holiday."

Meanwhile, Park Hyun-jung debuted in 1995 as the first generation of KBS Super Talent. She later married comedian Yang Won-kyung in 1998 but divorced in 2011.
