Candidate Byeonghun Lee for Gwangju Dongnam-eul: "I Will Build a Welfare City Full of Smiles"

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Lee Byung-hoon, the Democratic Party candidate for the 4.15 general election in Dong and Nam Districts (Eul), Gwangju Metropolitan City, promised to build a "welfare city full of laughter from age 0 to 100."

As one of the "Six Major Projects to Revitalize the Original Downtown" pledged by candidate Lee, a system will be established so that all those in need of care can receive age-appropriate care near their residence without having to visit nursing homes or separate facilities.

With Gwangju Metropolitan City entering a super-aged society, candidate Lee proposed as a welfare policy the construction of a Senior Vitality Recharge Center where elderly citizens can participate in life publishing and writing programs, humanities college lecture programs, and library functions through cooperation with public institutions.

Candidate Lee emphasized, "By introducing smart technology, an integrated care system should be established that provides appropriate care services using smartphones or AI robot speakers, focusing on vulnerable groups such as the disabled and the elderly."

He added, "I promise to implement the six major pledges, including 'an economic city abundant with jobs' and 'an ecological city where water and wind paths open,' and will do my best to improve the quality of life for residents."
