[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Porsche Korea officially launched the new Porsche Cayenne Coupe, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) model, in Korea on the 9th, strengthening the lineup of the popular Cayenne model.
The new Cayenne Coupe differentiates itself from the existing Cayenne with dynamic lines and custom design elements. However, it retains the innovative technologies of the third-generation Cayenne, including powerful driving performance, an innovative chassis system, digitalized displays and operating concepts, and extensive connectivity.
Equipped with a 6-cylinder 3ℓ turbocharged engine, the Cayenne Coupe delivers a maximum output of 340 horsepower and a peak torque of 45.9 kg·m. With the standard Sports Chrono Package, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 243 km/h.
The new Cayenne Coupe is launched as the sportiest design model in its segment, featuring a sleek roofline and a dynamic appearance. It is characterized by a distinctive rear line, an adaptive rear spoiler, rear seats consisting of two individual seats, and two different roof concepts.
The roof spoiler, which is the core of Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) technology applied to the new Cayenne Coupe, seamlessly connects with the new adaptive rear spoiler. The spoiler, harmoniously integrated into the coupe silhouette, extends up to 135 mm at speeds above 90 km/h, increasing rear-wheel grip while maximizing the vehicle’s aerodynamics.
Additionally, the new Cayenne Coupe comes standard with a fixed panoramic glass roof measuring 2.16㎡. The 0.92㎡ glass provides passengers with an impressive sense of space, and the integrated roller blind blocks sunlight exposure and cold.
A carbon roof is available as an option. The carbon roof can be selected as part of one of three lightweight sports packages. Furthermore, customers can choose the Sports Design Package, lightweight 22-inch GT wheels, fabric seats featuring a classic tartan pattern in the center, and interiors made of carbon and Alcantara® materials.
Generous space is also a feature of the new Cayenne Coupe. The new sports seats with integrated headrests and 8-way adjustability in the front provide excellent comfort and optimized lateral support. The trunk capacity is 625ℓ, making it practical for everyday use, and folding the rear seats increases the cargo capacity to 1540ℓ.
The selling price of the new Porsche Cayenne Coupe, including VAT, is 113.6 million KRW, and it is available in two models: a 4-seater and a 5-seater.
