"An Act That Inflicts an Indelible Wound on the Victim"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 9th, the Minsaengdang criticized, regarding the Nth Room case, “Following Hwang Kyo-ahn, leader of the Future United Party, and his remark about ‘Nth Room curiosity,’ the ruling party’s mouthpiece Kim Eo-jun and Lee Hae-chan, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, have even raised ‘conspiracy theories,’” calling it “truly heartbreaking.”
All proportional representation candidates of Minsaengdang stated in a commentary that “raising conspiracy theories when the list of Nth Room participants has not even been disclosed can only be seen as defending criminal suspects, and it inflicts irreparable wounds on the victims and their families,” urging, “Stop spreading conspiracy theories immediately.”
They said, “Once the Nth Room participants and their political affiliations are revealed, the respective parties should strongly punish the individuals involved, sincerely apologize, and prepare measures to prevent recurrence,” adding, “Hwang, leader of the main opposition party, who neither consoles the pain of the victims nor apologizes for his outrageous remarks, and Kim, the ruling party’s mouthpiece, along with Lee, who, only mindful of the upcoming election, have driven nails into the hearts of victims and their families with conspiracy theories.”
They emphasized, “The way to win elections is not through sweet talk and ideology or hypocrisy disguised as conspiracy, but through sincerity,” and stated, “Minsaengdang will transcend ideology and become a people’s livelihood party that touches the hearts of the people with sincerity on all livelihood issues more than any other party.”
