Galaxy A71·A51 5G Unveiled... Arriving in Korea in May


[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samsung Electronics has unveiled the mid-range smartphones Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 5G models. They feature a large screen in the mid-6-inch range, quad cameras, and large-capacity batteries.


On the 9th, Samsung Electronics revealed the Galaxy A71 5G and Galaxy A51 5G through its global newsroom. Both models are scheduled to be released domestically in May.


Kim Yeon-jeong, Executive Director of the Innovation Product Planning Group at Samsung Electronics' Wireless Business Division, said, "The Galaxy A series is launched at various price points but offers innovation without compromising on features," adding, "We will build a 5G smartphone portfolio at a more accessible price."


Unlike their predecessors, both products have removed the waterdrop notch and feature a punch-hole display design that fills the screen except for the front camera. Although mid-range smartphones, they are equipped with quad cameras and support 4K video recording. Both have 4500mAh batteries. Samsung Pay and Bixby are also supported.


Galaxy A71·A51 5G Unveiled... Arriving in Korea in May

The Galaxy A71 5G has a 6.7-inch screen and is equipped with a 64MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and 5MP macro and depth cameras. It supports 25W fast charging.


The Galaxy A51 5G features a 6.5-inch display and is equipped with a 48MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and 5MP macro and depth cameras. Both models have a 32MP front camera.


Memory is provided at 128GB and can be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card. RAM is available in 6GB and 8GB models. The Galaxy A71 5G comes in Prism Cube Black, Silver, and Blue, while the Galaxy A51 5G is available in Prism Cube Black, White, and Pink, each offering three color options.


Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics aims to expand its 5G smartphone lineup across various price ranges this year to dominate the 5G smartphone market. Koh Dong-jin, President of the IM Division, stated at the 5G+ Strategy Committee meeting on the 8th, "We plan to release 2 to 3 mid-range phones by the end of the year," adding, "The Galaxy A71 5G will be launched between April and May as soon as it is ready."
