Commission Reduction... Both Sellers and Consumers Expect Tangible Benefits
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Lee Byung-hoon, the Democratic Party candidate for the 4.15 general election in Dong and Nam Districts (Eul), Gwangju Metropolitan City, announced on the 8th, "We will establish a public order platform that reduces fees by launching a smart ordering and delivery platform, providing tangible benefits to both sellers and consumers."
Lee stated, "Baedal Minjok changed its payment system on the 1st from a fixed monthly fee of 88,000 KRW to an advertising fee of 5.8% per order, which places a heavy burden on small business owners in terms of fees. Ultimately, this fee increase is a multinational corporation's trick that increases the burden on small business owners, which has caused strong opposition from small business owners and citizens."
He added, "To effectively reduce the burden on small business owners, it is necessary to establish a public ordering and delivery platform without fees or advertising charges," and pledged to collaborate with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to build such a public ordering and delivery platform.
He also said, "In the book published last December, 'Economy of Living Together, Sharing Jobs,' I emphasized the necessity of establishing a public platform," and claimed, "Now, other regions including Seoul and Gyeonggi are also promoting the establishment of similar public platforms."
Furthermore, he emphasized, "We must build a regionally customized platform as soon as possible to counter the tyranny of multinational corporations and ensure its successful settlement," and stressed, "We will work to establish a nationwide network centered on the Gwangju Metropolitan City public ordering and delivery platform."
