[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Kim Sang-hyuk, a former member of the group Click-B and a broadcaster, shed tears as he shared his feelings about his divorce.
On the 8th, during SBS LoveFM's "Kim Sang-hyuk, DinDin's Oppane Radio," DJ Kim Sang-hyuk opened up, saying, "When I was young, I didn't understand adults saying, 'Living like others is good, living an ordinary life is the best.' Now, as if I've finally realized the preciousness of an ordinary daily life, I think I understand how valuable it is to live an ordinary life like others."
Kim Sang-hyuk mentioned the divorce news, saying, "You probably heard the news through yesterday's articles, but I think I should tell the listeners directly as well."
He added, "As a husband, I should have tried harder in every aspect, but I think it was my fault that I couldn't. My heart hurts so much. I'm sorry to deliver such bad news," his voice trembling with emotion.
In response, DJ DinDin said, "Since this is a mentally difficult situation, I will talk a lot," and continued the broadcast.
Earlier, on the 7th, Kim Sang-hyuk announced his divorce news through social networking services (SNS).
On that day, Kim Sang-hyuk posted on his Instagram account, "Two imperfect people met and tried hard to live well. We should have embraced each other's wounds and lived well, but I'm sorry we couldn't show a happy appearance. I think it was all my fault. I feel very heavy-hearted because there seem to be more things I didn't do well than things I did well."
Kim Sang-hyuk's agency also released a statement saying, "Kim Sang-hyuk and his spouse could not overcome their differences in views, and after careful consideration, they proceeded with the mediation process for divorce. Both parties want the divorce process to proceed smoothly, so we ask for your understanding that it is difficult to disclose details about their private lives."
Meanwhile, Kim Sang-hyuk married shopping mall CEO Song Da-ye on April 7 last year. The couple attracted attention by revealing their wedding ceremony on TV Chosun's "The Taste of Wife, Nowhere in the World."
