The Gwangju University University Job Center announced on the 8th that it will conduct non-face-to-face telephone promotions about the Ministry of Employment and Labor's youth support policies necessary for the 2020 graduates until the 30th of this month.
In particular, it provides guidance on customized support programs needed for graduates who are experiencing difficulties in job hunting due to COVID-19.
Through this youth support policy promotion activity, various support contents available for employment and unemployment statuses, such as youth job-seeking activity support funds, employment success packages, and Youth Tomorrow Filling Deduction, will be introduced.
Yoon Hongsang, head of the Gwangju University University Job Center, said, "In the future, we plan to provide customized services not only to graduates but also to current students," adding, "We will inform various youth support policies so that they can adapt well to the difficult times caused by COVID-19."
Meanwhile, since 2017, Gwangju University has been selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'University Job Center Project' and has been providing specialized customized employment services for current students and graduates.
The University Job Center has established and operates a systematic career and employment/startup support system, including early career guidance considering aptitude and major from lower grades, customized support by grade, and career roadmaps by major.
In addition, by assigning employment professors to all departments, Gwangju University conducts employment support, work experience, vocational skill development support, startup support, and overseas employment programs for current students and graduates through differentiated strategies from other universities.
