Samsung Electronics announced on the 8th that, considering the health and safety of its employees, it plans to temporarily halt operations at its US home appliance factory from today until the 19th.
Earlier, when two employees at the South Carolina factory tested positive for COVID-19 on the 3rd, Samsung Electronics temporarily closed the facility until the 5th. The factory resumed operations on the 6th but was shut down again after two days of operation.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is reportedly considering a shutdown next week at its TV factory in Tijuana, Mexico.
