Crystal New Materials Holds Shareholders' Meeting via Video Conference... Electronic Voting Implemented

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] China Crystal New Materials, a company specializing in synthetic mica production, announced on the 8th that the 8th regular general shareholders' meeting scheduled for the 22nd will be held as an online video conference.

Due to the recent COVID-19 situation, it is difficult for executives and employees of the Chinese headquarters to visit Korea, so this shareholders' meeting will inevitably be conducted via video conference, and electronic voting will also be implemented. The domestic gathering location is the 6th floor Financial Academy of Donghwa Building in Yeouido. It will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, the 22nd, Korea Standard Time.

Heo Wi-eolun, CEO of Crystal New Materials, said, "We decided to introduce a video conference system to overcome the restrictions caused by COVID-19 and to bridge the physical distance between Korea and China," adding, "We also hope that through electronic voting, shareholders who find it difficult to attend the general meeting or minority shareholders will have their voting rights respected, and that it will serve as an opportunity to increase participation in the company's decision-making."

Meanwhile, the main voting agenda items for this general meeting include ▲ the new appointment of auditor Ma Shaokang ▲ the new appointment of inside director Park Yunseok ▲ the new appointment of outside director Feng Li. The period for exercising electronic voting and submitting electronic proxies is from the 12th to the 21st, during which voting can be done by accessing the Korea Securities Depository electronic voting system from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. (until 5 p.m. on the last day).
