[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Three additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported at Seoyo Nursing Hospital in Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongbuk. So far, 68 people (63 under Gyeongbuk jurisdiction, 3 under Daegu jurisdiction) have been infected at this nursing hospital, and 12 of them have died.

According to Gyeongsangbuk-do on the 8th, as of midnight, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province increased by 3 from the previous day, reaching a cumulative total of 1,275 cases (self-reported). However, no new cases were reported in the 22 cities and counties except for Gyeongsan-si on that day.

Among the confirmed cases, 900 people (70.5%) have recovered, and 50 people (3.9%) have died. Of the deceased, 12 were from Seoyo Nursing Hospital.

Currently, 234 confirmed patients are hospitalized, and 90 are receiving treatment at residential treatment centers.
