[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] Seo Eun-kwang, leader of the group BTOB, spent time communicating with fans after his discharge.
On the 7th, Seo Eun-kwang held a live broadcast commemorating his discharge through his YouTube channel. He greeted fans, saying, "I feel like I’m going to cry. As of today, I am Seo Eun-kwang, the leader of BTOB, returning to civilian life," and "I’m happy to communicate with you all after a long time."
Seo Eun-kwang shared an update, saying, "I have no injuries, have been eating three meals a day well, going to bed early, waking up early, and exercising, so I was discharged in good health."
He added, "I gained a lot of weight. When I enlisted, I was around 60 to 61 kg, but now I’m about 67 kg," and said, "Since I worked out hard when I enlisted, I think I gained weight in a good way with muscle."
Meanwhile, Seo Eun-kwang enlisted in August 2018 and completed his service in the Army 27th Division Headquarters Military Band, being honorably discharged on the 7th. He is the first among BTOB members to be discharged, while Lee Chang-sub and Lee Min-hyuk, who enlisted last year, are scheduled to be discharged in August and September, respectively.
Earlier that day, Seo Eun-kwang expressed his thoughts on his discharge through his agency, saying, "First of all, I am very grateful to our Melody (fan club) who waited and supported me, thanks to whom I was able to be discharged safely and healthily."
He added, "It’s a bit scary and daunting to return to society after a two-year hiatus, but I’m more excited that I can sing for many people again and bring happiness. I love you all."
